You want the best for your children, right? So do I, which lead me to create this site. Every now and then you read stories in the financial press about investing for children. However those articles always leave me feeling unsatisfied, perhaps you feel the same way. Finally here is a resource to help us all make the most of what we have, no matter how little or much.

Here is the original story that got me started: This little piggy bought shares ... teach kids finance, the product in question is the Citibank Online Cash Manager and the information came from Cannex who describe themselves : "Cannex is an independent Financial Services Research Group and provides specialist services to Australia's 350 plus financial institutions, government departments, media and finance professionals"
Debra quotes Pavlo Taranenko of Cannex about high-interest accounts for children - pointing to the Citibank Online Cash Manager and writing : "... is open to all ages ..."
The problem is that the Product Disclosure Statement for that account *very* clearly states in the eligibility section (point 3) "3. You must be 18 years of age or older."

So that is why I started this site. Over time I will be adding articles that go into some details about investing for the long term, keeping track of the best accounts for the kids and investing in shares and property as safely as possible, for the long term benefit of your kids.

Please, if you have suggestions for me, I urge you to send me a message using the "What's Missing?" link at the left - that way I can go looking for the best way to help you.

Many thanks, Matthew.
